Notification of Emergency Fuel Surcharge (EFS) For Shipments by Air from West Malaysia to East Malaysia and vice versa and from Sabah to Sarawak and vice versa
Following the recent increase in global crude oil and jet fuel prices driven by geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East, airlines have started to impose fuel charges from March 10 2026 onwards.
Arising from the immediate implementation of this fuel surcharge from the airlines. Our air linehaul cost for shipments from West Malaysia to East Malaysia and vice versa and from Sabah to Sarawak and vice versa have increased considerably.
Thus, we have no option but to implement an Emergency Fuel Surcharge (EFS) at at rate ofRM 1.00 per 500 grams for documents and RM 2.00 per kg for parcels (subject to 6 % SST) to cover such increase in air linehaul cost for shipments from West to East Malaysia and vice versa and from Sabah to Sarawak and vice versa until further notice.
